Why it is there
In the EU and the UK, people who buy online get 14 days to change their mind. That makes sense for a parcel, which you can send back. Software that unlocks the moment you pay cannot be sent back, so the law lets that 14-day window end once access starts, but only if you asked for access to start straight away and said you understand the window ends.
The box is how you say that. Without it, the law would treat Pro as returnable for 14 days even after you had used it, and a shop cannot tick it for you.
What happens when you tick it
Your licence key is issued as soon as the payment goes through, so Pro can be switched on in your browser right away. The 14-day change of mind window then no longer applies to that payment.
What it does not change
- If Pro does not work on your browser and support cannot fix it within 7 days of your report, that payment is refunded. The box has nothing to do with that.
- Your rights under the consumer law where you live still apply in full, including a refund under the Australian Consumer Law if Pro has a major failure.
- You can cancel any time from the customer portal. Pro keeps working to the end of the period you paid for, and you are not charged again.
Try before you buy
The free version does the core job, keeping accounts apart in their own tabs, with no time limit and no account. Use it as long as you like before deciding on Pro. The refund policy has the full detail, and support@nvx.sh answers any question first.
